Holding Space
31 Jan 24In January 2024 we ran an advanced facilitation skills course for a dozen UNION Alumni. Partly to develop their own skills and practice but also looking at how they might contribute to training on future UNION programmes.
A great weekend at the fabulous Youth Hostel in Castleton in the heart of the Peak District:
” I have seen a different level of facilitation and holding space which opened my eyes to what’s possible. Learning is definitely deeper and remarkable when you learn through embodied experiences. Co-creation feels more effortless and fun when everyone joins fully.“
Gulcin Bulut—UNION 19 alumnus and participant in Castleton“I’m gleaning a lot. Something about opening the door to the unknown, to a space where transformation is possible. A belief that, if we go in in good faith with useful tools, we WILL transform…Oh, the UNION trickle-down effect!”
Alice Francis—UNION 23 alumnus and participant in Castleton
“I found the weekend useful and honestly exhilarating. I came away with a greater understanding of what it is I am trying to do as a facilitator & space-maker generally. I think also it helped me feel that I can flex my facilitation muscle of intuition at this point, and sometimes let things flow more freely.”
Grace Darbs—UNION 19 alumnus and participant in Castleton
