UNION have been invited to facilitate the first national gathering of the Artworks Alliance.

The full-day event will seek to answer the question: How do we do participatory arts better?

For the main part of the day, between 11am-3pm, we have decided to use Open Space Technology, which was developed by Harrison Owen back in the 1980s as a way of creating self-organising conferences. As he put it “My question was a simple one: Was it possible to combine the level of synergy and excitement present in a good coffee break with the substantive activity and results characteristics of a good meeting?” You can find more out about Open Space on the web but you don’t need to! Adrian Sinclair, Freya Wysocki and Tom Edwards from UNION will be explaining and facilitating the session.
