A UNION Leeds Collaborative Learning Project

As creative practitioners and/or activists working in a capitalist society, it can be difficult to find stillness in our busy lives. Psychoanalyst Masud Khan believed that stepping away from impulsive productivity to ‘lie fallow’ could aid creativity.*

In this workshop, you will be introduced to Khan’s theory and how it is being utilised by UNION members, Writer Becky Cherriman and Performer, Designer and Maker Liza Cox, in their own practice.  You will be shown techniques developed by Becky and Liza, which you will personalise to enable you to prepare fallow ground in your own life and see what grows.

There will be a follow up workshop a month later for those who are interested in trialling the approach and reflecting together on their progress and the potential of the Lying Fallow project. A date will be arranged based on participant availability.

Follow the booking link to reserve yourself a free place on the 22nd May
