The Manchester weekend was completely co-designed by the hosting North West UNION participants. They decided to focus on user-led groups and the weekend was called “Working from Within”. On the Saturday we were based at Green Fish Resource Centre in central Manchester; on the Sunday out at Hulme Garden Centre.

The whole theme was introduced with presentations by participants and some invited guests, followed by visits to the Manchester Coalition of Disabled People and the Horsfall Gallery at 42nd Street

Time was left for people to put forward their own creative presentations around the theme…

And the Sunday…well again allowing time for each participant to develop their own journey in the beautiful radical surroundings of Hulme Community Garden Centre…

 

And the weekend was finished off with a trip to see some of the outdoor events at Manchester International Festival…
