I’m Mandy, a Newcastle based visual designer and creative practitioner. I founded a design studio called Sail Creative in 2016, working on socially focussed brands and campaigns. Personally, I am passionate about injustice using lived experience of issues to challenge systemic barriers. Class, neurodivergence, queerness, feminism. All of this drives everything I do. The personal is political.

I am passionate about building deep connections with communities and people to push for change, with collective practice and collaboration at the heart of what I do. Enabling others and facilitating challenging conversations has major impact. I am wanting to explore different practices, always meddling in writing, creating, facilitating, making and storytelling. I am always looking to challenge myself, and I am loving my 2024 Union journey so far. What an incredible bunch of people!
